The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center has been making cancer history since 1941. Every year, 72,000 pediatric and adult patients visit M. D. Anderson for diagnosis and treatment of common and rare cancers.

Throughout its 140-year history, CenterPoint Energy has been committed to serving the communities in which it operates. Dedicated to being a good corporate citizen, it lends support to educational, civic and social initiatives that improve the quality of life for its customers and the community as a whole.

Fondren Foundation, established in 1948 by Ella Florence Fondren, the widow of Walter W. Fondren, a founder of Humble Oil and Refining Company, supports education, health, human services, youth agencies and cultural organizations.

METRO, the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, Texas, offers free transportation to Houston visitors participating in Houston Greeters activities. METRO includes bus services and light rail transit.

Founded in 1953, Shell Oil Company Foundation helps foster the general well being of communities where Shell Oil Company employees live and work. The Foundation focuses on education, culture and the arts, community, health and welfare, diversity and inclusiveness.
